Hello. This is exciting. I am new to this so please bare with me. My name is Quyen and I am a kindergarten teacher in California. I've been teaching in my district going on my 7th year and have been bounced around to many different grade levels and schools. I've been pink slipped and cut mid-year, so I was please and beyond thrilled that there were no cuts to the teaching staff in my district this past spring. With that said, I was able to finally PICK my grade level and school site. Of course, my heart belonged in kindergarten and I transferred to a new (to me) school. Ok, so I have been on maternity leave with my second since March. I've been totally out of the game. I was able to get the keys to my new classroom at the beginning of August. The whole fam, and I mean WHOLE family (husband and two kids) were with me in the classroom almost every day, moving in boxes and boxes of teaching materials, belongings, and other junks that us teachers collect throughout the years. (esp if we've taught different grades and at different schools)
Alright, so back to the point. We came in to a classroom that needed LOTS of work and transformed it to an amazing rainbow paradise. My wonderful husband helped me put the walls up and hang things on the ceiling. I just got the ideas from wonderful pinterest. Enjoy the before and after pictures!!!
